Unity Day is an annual time to raise awareness and combat bullying in all its forms. The year’s theme, “Stronger Together,” emphasizes the importance of solidarity and compassion in creating safe and inclusive communities.
Wear orange to show your commitment to end bullying and celebrate the strength that comes from standing together. Let’s turn our collective voices into a force for positive change. Together, we can make a difference!
Bridge to Recovery Walk
Join us for a 2-mile walk that starts and ends on the Concord Hospital - Franklin campus. This family-friendly event brings together community, friends, families and local businesses to raise awareness and funds to show support for those struggling with, or recovering from, mental health disorder and/or substance use disorder. Join us for an evening of education, resources, and community. Parents, guardians, professionals, and young adults are invited to view a showing of Screenagers Under the Influence. Filmmaker Delaney Ruston explores “the impact of our digital age on teens’ decision-making in relation to substances such as vaping, drugs, and alcohol.”
The movie runtime is 70 minutes. A panel discussion will follow. Complimentary dinner, childcare, and resources will be provided. Children in the childcare room will have dinner and be shown a recently-released G or PG rated film. This event is free to attend. Party in the Park
Since 2022, the Laconia Youth Alliance has hosted an annual Party in the Park in Laconia, NH. Party in the Park serves as an alternative activity to substance use for people of all ages in the Lakes Region. We’re so excited to bring back this event for 2024! The day will include live entertainment, free food, family-friendly activities, and a community resource fair. The Laconia Youth Alliance could not put on an event without the support of our community sponsors. A huge thank you to 104.9 The Hawk, The Duncan Idaho Band, Leavitt Park, Partnership for Public Health, Vista foods, Hannaford, and FunSpot for making this event possible.
